Why Hire a Wedding Planner?

There are many reasons for hiring a wedding planner, your reason for hiring a planner could simply be a busy lifestyle with little or no no time to plan a wedding. Hiring a planner could also be important to you if you would prefer to trust a professional to plan your wedding with the added reassurance that every detail is accommodated for.

Do you really need a wedding Planner?

This is a question only you can answer, couples may decide they need a wedding planner for many reasons, it may be that you would simply prefer to outsource the complex logistics to a professional, it may be you would like some design assistance. other reasons for needing to hire a planner include management of the wedding investment, and ensuring that investment is spent wisely and efficiently. It may also be that some couples recognise that they do not want to spend their wedding day having to worry about running the day at the same time.
Ultimately having a wedding planner allows you as a couple to relax and enjoy both the planning process and the day itself knowing that someone else has everything under control

Are you insured?

RandFWeddings are fully insured with both Public Liability and more importantly Indemnity insurance, not all wedding planners have both. Public liability insurance protects you against any action we take causing harm whilst indemnity insurance protects you against any professional advice we give.
In addition RandFWeddings are also voluntary members of the Trading Standards Consumer Code for Weddings and Events (CCWE) and members of the National Association of Wedding Professionals

Do wedding planners only work with preferred suppliers?

We can’t speak for all wedding planners but for us we aim to work only with established and trusted suppliers as ultimately our outstanding reputation is in their hands.
With weddings becoming more and more individualistic we sometimes have to look to new suppliers that we may not have previously worked with, in these cases we will only engage a supplier once we have assured they are able to deliver to the standard expected.

How many weddings do you do work on at once?

A large amount of time is devoted to every wedding we undertake and with this in mind we aim to take on a limited number of weddings per year, if you are considering our services we advise getting in touch as soon as possible to ensure our availability.

Can we meet a wedding planner at our convenience?

We can’t speak for everyone, for us we do not limit your time, we recognise that most of our clients have busy lifestyles so ensure we are available for evening and weekend meetings or during the working week as suits your needs

Do you take commission from wedding suppliers you book?

Some wedding planners do but for us its an absolutely not! As an ethically run business we understand that we are trusted to mange your wedding investment as efficiently as possible, we also understand that the majority of suppliers being charged a commission will simply add this to their invoice. We don’t believe that engaging with our suppliers that way makes for a good relationship. Its important to us that every supplier on your wedding day feels part of the RandF Team and gives 110% to your wedding.

Do you charge extra for travel and accommodation?

The majority of our travel and accommodation costs are included within our basic planning fees, this may be affected by wedding location and other factors, however these would be established with you at our first consultation and advised if we felt any additional expenses may be applied.

What if I need something different to your core levels of service?

All our services revolve around the three core levels of Full Planning, Partial Planning or Wedding Day Management, however each of these services can be made bespoke to your needs. when we first meet we will decide what level of bespoke service you need.

Do you just plan weddings?

Our passion is with weddings, but we also love a party or corporate event, with our experience and background in live event production and working with everything from family birthdays, christenings to multi million pound budget large scale events we have you covered.

What Style of wedding do you plan?

Our job is not to impose our style on our couples but to ensure we understand what your style is and work with you to create your day. Typically our clients have a passion for understated elegance, opulence & luxury or a nature inspired eco – outside wedding in an relaxed and informal atmosphere.

What do Wedding Planners do?

This could be a very long answer but in short, Wedding Planners help couples successfully plan their wedding day and see that everything runs smoothly. As a wedding planner, our responsibilities include establishing a planning timeline and working with the bride and groom to choose everything from attire, to ceremony and reception venues, music, and food then delivering that on the day with the goal of an outstanding experience for both couple and guests alike. We live by 3 rules, Your guests should never be thirsty, bored or hungry with this in mind we treat every wedding day as a number of dramatic reveals that keep both you and your guests wowed and amazed.

Will a Wedding Planner save you money?

Yes and No, It is an additional cost, however Wedding Planning represents superb value in respect of both the reassurance of having a professional on board and the efficiency of spend having a professional wedding planner can bring.

What is the difference between a Wedding Planner and Wedding Coordinator?

You may have booked a venue that has a wedding coordinator and wonder if this means you still need a wedding planner? to answer that question we need to understand the difference in roles. A venue coordinator is there to ensure the venue runs smoothly, they may have a list of preferred suppliers and may also provide some very basic time management on the day.
A Wedding Planner works for you and in your best interest, importantly a wedding planner is also involved in far more than a wedding coordinator by helping you manage budgets, source and negotiate with suppliers, provide a complete wedding day schedule that includes all aspects including wedding ceremony and wedding prep.

How much is a wedding? (2020)

This depends entirely on you, your number of guests and the expectations of your day and can range from under £10,000 to in excess of 1 Million. We work on weddings typically ranging from £45,00 to 1 million plus. A more generally accurate answer would be to look at the average investment of one of our clients which would range from £40,000 to £125,000
